Policies & Procedures

Deliverables

You are not purchasing photographs, instead you are renting a professional photographer. We make sure you always have plenty of photos – or will make it right if there’s an unforeseen issue – but we do not guarantee a certain number of photos. Your photographer will provide a download link to all usable digital images completely free of charge. This link will be available within 7 days.

We retain all commercial use rights for your images. You are issued a personal, noncommercial lifetime license. In plain English, we reserve the right to display your images on our web site and various marketing channels; you can share and print for personal enjoyment.

Your images do not include editing. We may do light edits like cropping and straightening, but do not provide image manipulation. Again, you are paying for the time of a professional photographer, not for the images themselves.

Extensions

If you’re having a great time during your shoot and would like us to keep shooting, and we are able to accommodate your request based on our schedule, we’re more than happy to continue shooting at our normal hourly rate.

Weather

Central Florida is known for near daily thunderstorms throughout the spring, summer, and fall months. While we will work with you to determine a shoot schedule that should prevent the weather from interrupting, weather is outside of our control.

We will communicate with you in the days leading up to your shoot to determine if we need to adjust your scheduled times or shoot locations to avoid anticipated weather conditions.

  • If the weather is a minor inconvenience (rain, heat/humidity), the shoot goes on.
  • If the weather presents a physical threat (lightning), we will evaluate the situation.
    • If we are able to move to a protected location, the shoot goes on.
    • If we are not able to move to a protected location, the shoot will be rescheduled to the next available time.
      • If you are unable to reschedule due to your visit to Orlando ending, we offer a future make up of the forfeit time or prorated partial refund.

Cancellation

Life happens. Sometimes that means you are unable to follow through on prior commitments.

We will always do our best to work with you to find an outcome that is mutually acceptable.

Below are our standard cancellation policies as they pertain to refunds:

  • If you cancel more than 3 days (72 hours) before your scheduled shoot, we offer a 100% refund.
  • If you cancel between 1 and 3 days (more than 24 hours but less than 72 hours) before your shoot, we offer a 75% refund.
  • If you cancel less than 1 day (24 hours) before your shoot, we are unable to offer a refund.

Reschedule

We will work with you to accommodate any changes to your itinerary as we are able to do so.

Reschedule requests within 3 days (72 hours) of your shoot are typically difficult to impossible to accommodate.

Rescheduled appointments must be within 1 year of your original appointment, otherwise it is treated as a cancellation.

No Show/Late Arrival

If we have not heard from you 30 minutes after your shoot is scheduled to begin, we consider you a no show. No shows do not receive a refund and your initial payment will not be applied to a reschedule.

If you contact us within 24 hours of your shoot to let us know you anticipate being late, we will wait until 30 minutes after the adjusted time before considering you a no show.

Shoots start at the time you select. If you are late, but not a no show, your shoot will continue until the selected end time. Refunds are not offered to compensate for time lost due to being late.

Refunds

Based on the policies above, refunds are processed by us within 3 business days. Us issuing a refund and you receiving the refund are not the same thing. Our payment processor (Stripe) typically issues refunds back to your credit card issuer within 24 hours and most banks fully process refunds back to your account within 3-5 business days.

We will work with you to the best of our abilities to make sure refunds occur in a timely manner, but once we’ve submitted the refund to our payment processor the process is out of our control. We will happily work with our payment processor in the case that there is an issue with a refund, however most issues arise from either unrealistic expectations (your bank account will reflect the refund immediately) or delays at your bank (who won’t typically talk to us).

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time. If you have a pending photoshoot, any changes that impact you will be communicated to you directly.
